Yoga – The Daily Practice

“Practice, and all is coming…”

Making exercise a regular habit is something a lot of people find challenging or just don’t manage to do. Don’t let this be you!… Having a good relationship with physical health sets you up for positive mental health. All you need to develop a daily physical health practice is right here.

  1.   Take guidance from the instructional video to start with the basics
  2.   Print both documents – Use these to get you into a regular habit
  3.   Progress to following just the flow video, and see that you can do this practice quickly & simply…
  4.   Progress to not needing the videos at all!…  My ideal wish would be that you get so used to doing your practice regularly, that you don’t need the videos. The sheet with the sections of the practice separated out is designed to help you to get it clearly remembered in your own mind 🙂

Added extra:

Expand your practice to include headstands, if you wish (some people don’t want to do these at all. And that’s totally fine. Take them if you fancy them 🙂

Watch the videos and download & print the resources

Morning Method – Instructional

This video guides you through the practice with instructions. Use it to get familiar with the movements and to build confidence.

The 10 Minute Flow

This video is more directly into the practice. As always, build up steadily, and if you need to take time to get used to some of the movements or the breathing, then do 🙂

Take it steady, but build gradually. Aim to build up and get it all flowing.

Daily Practice Chart

Print this doc out and track yourself for completing each of the sections of the practice.

  • Firstly, this gets you tracking and building a more regular practice
  • Secondly, you can use it to graduate toward practicing by yourself! Not needing to follow a video… That is where the practice really starts to become your own 🙂

Annual Habit Calendar

How great is this doc!… Credit and thanks to the creator of it for sure.

Use it for developing strongly embedded habits (use it for anything else too by the way if you wish – like eating better, stopping smoking, laughing every day, etc…)

I recommend using a ‘traffic light system’ and colouring each day in for tracking yourself

  • Red – I didn’t do it today
  • Orange – I did do it to some degree, even if I didn’t do it fully
  • Green – Did it today. Fully and committedly 🙂

Bonus Video’s

Headstand 1 – Beginners Tutorial

Instruction from the foundations upward. Starting out and wanting to become able with headstands? This is the place to begin.

As mentioned in the video, take good care of yourself physically with these 🙂 I believe that almost everyone could develop headstands… But you’ve to build the practice and strengths to get prepared to do them safely & well. Wishes to it!

Headstand 2 – Advancing

Want to progress?… Going from the wall – to free-standing headstands?… Here are some next steps for that 🙂

Headstand 3 – Next Levels

If you’ve gotten very used to good control and consistency in your headstands… There are variations of movements that you can play with mastering whilst up there. Explore, develop, enjoy! 🙂

My experience of the mind comes not only from professional qualifications…. But also from the ancient traditions of Yoga and more….
